Description

Before founding Aliya's Foods Limited, she owned and operated Indian and Continental restaurants in East Africa. Prior to that, she ran her own consulting firm in Ontario where she was primarily involved in providing Nutrition services to the Health Care Industry as well as preparing Nutritional labels and new product development for the food manufacturing industry. Anis has a Food and Nutrition degree from Ryerson University in Toronto and is a Registered Dietitian. She completed her internship at the Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto, where she was very instrumental in completing the Policy and Procedure Manual for a Kosher Kitchen, its implementation and the computerization of the Food Service Department.

Shiraz is a seasoned chartered accountant with over 30 years of accounting, auditing, systems and tax experience. His past employers include the Office of the Auditor General of Alberta, CN Rail, Government of Alberta, Departments of Treasury and Energy. Shiraz also has over 10 years of hands on business experience as a CEO of his own group of companies in the hospitality industry and retired from this in the year 2000 due to personal reasons. Shiraz worked as a management and tax consultant for Expensave Canada based in North York, Ontario for 4 years from 2002 -2006. Prior to working as a tax consultant, Shiraz worked for Aliya’s for a period of 18 months when Aliyas was just getting off the ground in years 2000 and 2001. In September 2006 Shiraz re-joined Aliya’s Foods as its Controller.
